Wednesday & Saturday

Guests can reserve tickets for 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m. & 3 p.m.

Covid-19 Update

Safety procedures allow for only 6 visitors inside the center at a time to ensure social distancing.  Visitors are required to wear face masks.  Doors and hard surfaces are sanitized between each ticketing time block. Visitors are asked to arrive on time; tickets are only valid during the time block reserved. Drop-in visitors are not permitted at this time.

The new layout of the exhibit space allows visitors to tour the center on their own, but on-site staff are available to answer questions. 


Hourly Parking: Street parking around the center and throughout downtown is free and limited to 3 hours a day.

Daily Parking: Parking in the deck across from center is free for the first hour.

After the first hour: $1/per hour; $8/ all day

(This option is ideal if you plan to enjoy Downtown Rome for longer than 3 hours.)

Museum Accessibility

The center is fully accessible from entrances located at both the front and back of the building. For special needs, contact us at 706.295.5576.

Georgia's Rome Gift Shop & Welcome Center

The gift shop located inside the Rome Area History Center offers gifts sourced from local artists as well as souvenirs to help you remember your visit.


Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are also happy to assist in providing local and regional information on attractions, dining, events and local services.
